\u00bf La salud y el seguro medico son temas muy importantes al momento de toma de decisi\u00f3n del programa en el extranjero, ya que un alumno no asegurado puede implicar gastos elevados. Por ejemplo una visita privada al medico puede costar hasta $200.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00bf El programa de high school<\/a> incluye el seguro medico?<\/strong> <\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

El programa de high school Secundaria preparatoria si incluye el seguro obligatorio de salud, pues son menores de edad. Esto aplica tanto en colegios privados como p\u00fablicos.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1nto cuesta  seguro medico?  <\/strong> <\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Depende del pa\u00eds, cobertura privada o cobertura publica, y dentro del pa\u00eds depende de la provincia o estado, por ejemplo en la provincia de British Columbia el costo mensual es de $90 mensuales, pero este valor puede ser actualizado y cambiar anualmente. El colegio puede incluir este costo en la colegiatura o bien lo deduce de los gastos adicionales conocido como deposito para imprevistos, o simplemente cobrarlo por adelantado como seguro medico.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Normalmente el seguro medico incluye los gastos m\u00e9dicos de rutina e internaci\u00f3n, gastos adicionales en caso de accidente, si no fue provocado por la practica de un deporte o actividad de alto riesgo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Normalmente el seguro medico no incluye los medicamentos, seguro dental y enfermedades preexistentes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Debido a imprevistos que se pueden dar durante el viaje, si es importante incluir el seguro medico durante viaje.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

No es obligatorio, pero es recomendable, algunos de imprevistos que se pueden dar durante el viaje son cancelaci\u00f3n o postergaci\u00f3n del vuelo, perdida o retraso de la maleta, contrataci\u00f3n de noche de hotel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Tip: recuerden que la mayor\u00eda de las tarjetas de cr\u00e9dito incluyen seguro de viaje, solo hay que verificar la p\u00f3liza previo a concretar la reserva.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 pasa si tengo una enfermedad preexistente?<\/strong> <\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

Lo mas importante es reportar afecciones f\u00edsicas o emocionales al momento de concretar la aplicaci\u00f3n, el no hacerlo puede resultar en una cancelaci\u00f3n del programa sin derecho a reembolso. Si el alumno ya tiene cuenta con un tratamiento, se sugiere traer los medicamentos con  la prescripci\u00f3n medica traducida al ingles incluyendo los componentes de los medicamentos y posolog\u00eda por el tiempo total de estancia en el programa. Esto es para evitar que en aduanas puedan requisarlas sin dicho justificativo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
